■ About The Album

Yang Hee-eun met with Kim Min-ki, the godfather of Korean folk, at YWCA Naughty Boy Hall in Myeong-dong, Seoul in 1970 and gained recognition by singing at live clubs in downtown Myeong-dong a year later, and produced her debut album. Members of the Myeong-dong YWCA Green Frog Hall, including Kim Min-ki, Kim Kwang-hee, and Lee Yong-bok, helped with the recording, while Kim Min-ki and Cho Min-hee composed the songs, and Lee Yong-bok played the guitar.

The released album was sold in large numbers, captivating the hearts of young people at the time due to Yang Hee-eun's pure vocals and Kim Min-ki's beautiful melodies and lyrics, and in particular, the song Morning Iseul gained popularity among almost national songs. However, morning dew was later designated as a prohibited song, and Yang Hee-eun's songs, which were later released, were also banned. The funny thing is that "Morning Iseul" received the Government's Fine Song Award in 1973 and was included in the list of sound songs. Rather, this has become more popular in the activist world, so the government shook hands.

With this album and morning dew, Yang Hee-eun became a symbol of resistance singers, and the album is also considered a symbol of youth culture in the 1970s and a first-generation folk masterpiece. Along with the 20th anniversary album "Yang Hee-eun 1991," it is considered a masterpiece representing Yang Hee-eun.
