1.인트로

내가 중학교때의 일이다. 중3 모든 교육과정이마무리되고 고등학교 입학도 정해졌을 무렵 교실에서 선생님들은 수업대신 비디오시청이나 선생님의 옛사랑 얘기를 듣고는 했다.
하루는 한명씩 앞에 나와서 노래를 부르고 다음 사람을 지목하면 지목받은 사람이나와 노래를 하는 방식으로 수업시간내내 진해된적이 있었다.
두어명이 노래를 부른고 노랠부른 누군가가 나를 지목했다. 나는 음치였고 노래를 잘 못했다. 그렇지만 마치 이런 상황이 언젠가 내게 들이닥치면 어쩌지?하고 남몰래 연습해뒀던 노래가 바로 승철님의 '안녕이라고 말하지마'였다.
그냥 듣기엔 편안하고 어려워보이지 않았지만 막상 부르려니 음도 높고 힘들었다. 어떻게 불렀는지도 기억이 안나지만 나에게 이노래는 내생애 처음으로 남들앞에서 부른 노래로기억한다. 내성적이던 나는 남들앞에서는 물론이고 혼자서도 노래를 흥얼거리는 경우가 없었다. 혹시 흥얼거림을 누군가 들으면 어쩌지하는 소심함에서 비롯된 것같다.
아뭏든 나는 이렇게 승철님에게 빠져들었고 이것이 계기가됐는지 늘 그의 노래를 끼고 살았었던거같다.

It didn't seem comfortable and difficult to listen to, but when I tried to sing it, the note was high and difficult. I don't even remember how I sang it, but I remember this song as the first song I sang in front of others in my life. As an introvert, I never hummed a song alone as well as in front of others. It seems to have originated from the timidity of hearing someone humming.
Anyway, I fell in love with Seungcheol like this, and I think I always lived with his songs as an opportunity.

3.감상평

해당곡은 박광현 작사 작곡의 이승철님의 정규앨범 1집타이틀곡이다.
이별을 앞둔 남녀사이에 이별을 부정하고픈 가슴아픈 가삿말들이 특징이다. 다른 노래들어비해 가삿말이 짧지만 그만큼 듣는이로 하여금 가사의 의미전달과 현재 노래하는이의 처한 상황이 매우 간절하다.
사랑하는 이와 헤어지고 싶지 않은 심정 누구나 한번쯤 겪어봤을법한 가슴 한켠에 숨겨져 있는 몰래 숨겨둔 비상금 같은것이 아닐까 싶다.

This song is the title song of Lee Seung-chul's first full-length album, written and composed by Park Kwang-hyun.
It is characterized by heartbreaking lyrics that want to deny separation between men and women who are about to break up. The lyrics are shorter than other songs, but the meaning of the lyrics is conveyed to the listeners and the current situation of the singer is very desperate.

3.박광현

박광현은 80년대 후반부터 촉망받는 작곡가 중에 한 명이었다.
그가 작곡한 이승철의 1집 히트곡 〈안녕이라고 말하지마〉, 〈잠도 오지 않는 밤에〉(1988)를 비롯하여 김건모와 함께 부른 3집 히트곡 〈함께〉(1992) 등은 지금도 사랑받는 명곡이다.
박광현의 노래들은 재즈와 가요 사이에서 적절히 영향받은 것으로 보이는데 대중에게 사랑받을 수 있는 노래를 만든다는 것 또한 그의 능력이었다.
그런데 90년대 초 불미스러운 사건으로 활동을 중단하게 되어 음악적인 잠재력을 펼치지 못한 게 아쉽다.
1988년 제9회 MBC 강변가요제에 출전하여 본선에 진출하였으며 출전곡 〈추억을 잊으면〉이 강변가요제 음반에 수록되면서 데뷔했고 같은 해에 이승철의 1집이 발표되어 히트하면서 이름을 알렸다.
그는 타 가수에게 준 노래와 자신이 부른 노래에 대한 차이에 대한 언론과의 인터뷰에서 “준 것이 아니라 대부분 판 것이며 때문에 상업적인 성공에 신경을 많이 썼다.
