■ About Shin Hae-chul

He is a South Korean singer, singer-songwriter, record producer, radio DJ, programmer and social activist.

He is the leader and main vocalist of N.EX.T and is known by his nickname "The Devil".

Born in 1968, he participated in the MBC University Song Festival as a band called Infinite Orbit in 1988, and made a splendid debut by singing "To You" and receiving the grand prize. Since then, he has been a soloist and a 0th generation idol band, N.EX.T, and became an icon of the 90s with his sixth cousin Seo Tae-ji. After the 2000s, he has also been a social activist and political entertainer, advocating a ban on corporal punishment or helping Roh Moo Hyuns and Moon Jae Ins campaign. Since then, he unfortunately passed away in 2014 at the young age of 46 due to a medical accident.

As Shin Hae-chul had a great influence in the music industry during his lifetime, as of 2023, nine years after his death, Shin Hae-chul's influence is currently ongoing, with a memorial project for Shin Hae-chul and the theme of Shin Hae-chul in music entertainment.
