■ About Sinawe

Legendary Heavy Metal & Alternative Rock Band. The guitarist Shin Dae-chul is the center of the band. Leader Shin Dae-chul is the son of "Rock Godfather" Shin Jung-hyun. In addition, his younger brother Shin Yoon-chul is also the best guitarist, and the youngest Shin Seok-chul is one of the best drummers, and the two of them are in a band called the Seoul Electronics Music Troupe.
In 1983, while Shin Dae-cheol was attending Seoul High School, he was formed as Shin Dae-chul for guitar, Ahn Joon-seop for bass, Kim Jung-hyu for drums, and Joo Joon-seok for vocals. Except for Shin Dae-chul, all the other members were in their 20s, but the band's leader was high school student Shin Dae-chul.

After Joo Jun-seok joined the military, he began to make his name known by recruiting AC/DC's Brian Johnson-style vocalist Jin Chan-kyu. However, Shin Dae-chul is disappointed with his vocal skills that can only do such music, and he is looking for a new vocalist again, and Kim Jong-seo was recruited at this time. However, as is well known, Kim Jong-seo was also kicked out after only one performance, and Lim Jae-beom was recruited to record his first album.

So Shinawi's first debut group was Shin Dae-chul, Lim Jae-beom, bass Park Young-bae, drum Kang Jong-soo, and keyboard Kim Hyung-joon.

The title song of the first album, "Turn on the Radio" was very popular at the time, as it appeared in the 2006 film Radio Star. Except for the title track, there were many songs that strongly reminded me of Ronnie James D.O.'s Black Sabbath, and the representative songs were Atlantis's Dream, The Candle Before You.

Since then, he has replaced all members except Shin Dae-chul himself, and released his second album "Down and Up," which attempted to change the sound to the high notes of bass Kang Ki-young (Dalparan), drum Kim Min-ki, and Kim Jong-seo, who returned with superior skills. The second album, which shows high completeness that is incomparable to the first album, is considered the best album in the Korean heavy metal world.

Shin Dae-chul's colorful guitar solo reminiscent of Van Halen, and Kim Jong-seo's voice and vocal range made it possible to create a perfect LA heavy metal before and after the release of the second album, showing a sharp difference from rival bands that put a heavy metal atmosphere on K-pop.

When Kim Jong-seo withdrew again due to differences in musical views between Kim Jong-seo and Shin Dae-chul after the second album, Shinawi released his third album "Free Man" with vocal Kim Sung-heon from Little Sky, but the public reaction was disappointing.

The fourth album, "Four," recorded as the best album in Sinawe, recruited Seo Tai-ji as a bassist and Kim Jong-seo, who returned again, as a vocalist, and put on hit songs such as "Winter Rain," but it was the worst in box office or album sales due to the sluggish rock culture and lack of publicity at the time. Rather, the winter rain became hotter after Kim Jong-seo's solo activities.

After the release of the fourth album, Kim Jong-seo took Seo Tai-ji out and turned into a solo, so Shinawi was virtually disbanded due to the absence of personnel.
