■ About Ryu Yeol

He was born in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul as the only son of a single male shaman. It is said that Yoo Yeol's father was in his 40s when he was born. I was born early in 1961 and went to school with my friends born in 1960. He graduated from Daesung High School and the Department of Trade at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He debuted in the music industry by winning the grand prize for "As You Are" at the 1986 College Song Festival, and worked as a DJ for KBS 2FM's "Music Album of Yoo Yeol" from 1994 to 2007.

In the 1980s, Lee Mun-se, Lee Soo-man, and Yoo Yeol, one of the three famous people in the music industry, were combined to call them "Masam Trio."
In fact, all three are from Seoul and have something in common that they were both MBC radio DJs at the time. At that time, it also appeared in advertisements for Hyundai Accent, which released Pro Accent, a just three-door American model, and Euro Accent, a five-door European model.

He was active on the TV stage until the early 1990s, but since the mid-1990s, he has been focusing on radio DJs and musical planning rather than singers, gradually decreasing his recognition among later generations. If you are a generation that remembers Yoo Yeol, you can say that you are at least in your early to mid-30s. So, at the 2013 Liberation Day event, I sang the song "Korea Once Again" with Younha, and when the name was called, there were people in their 20s who were puzzled because Yoo Yeol was more recognized than Yoo Hee-yeol because he was broadcasting until the mid-to-late 1990s.
