뛰어난 기타리스트이자 작곡자였으며 명반 설계자였던 그룹의 리더 김태원

2집은 비교적 일반적인 하드 록 스타일의 곡으로 채워진 1집과 달리 상당히 실험적인 시도를 많이 한 프로그레시브 성향의 앨범으로, 대중에게 강하게 어필한 '슬픈 사슴',  '회상' 시리즈, 11분짜리 대곡 '천국에서', 영화 'Once upon a time in the west'의 OST를 김태원이 편곡한 기타 솔로 'Jill's Theme' 등 그야말로 앨범에 수록된 전곡이 명곡이었다.

마지막콘서트 이승철ver

이 노래는 김태원이 직접 불렀으며 뒷부분 '나나나나'의 코러스는 당시 김태원의 여자친구, 현재 부인인 이현주가 부른 것이다. 가사의 '소녀'란 이현주를 말하는 것이다. 김태원이 마약에 중독되어 살아갈 때 자신의 모습을 지켜보는 자신의 여자친구를 보며 쓴 곡이다. 하지만 아내는 이 노래가 너무도 슬펐기때문에 잘 듣지 않았다고 한다.
후에 이승철이 부활을 탈퇴하여 해당 곡을 리메이크하여 '마지막 콘서트'로 제목을 바꾸어 발매했는데 정작 원곡은 뜨지않고 이승철이 리메이크한 마지막 콘서트가 더 유명해져 지상파 방송에서는 해당 곡이 나올때 회상Ⅲ & 마지막 콘서트로 나오거나 아예 마지막 콘서트로 나온다.

1분 13초의 짧은 연주곡으로 1984년 2월 7일 고등학교 졸업식 전날, 김태원과 이현주가 만난 날을 기념하기 위해 만든 연주 곡이다.

5. 천국에서

천국에서

10분 57초라는 엄청난 러닝타임을 자랑하는 곡이다. 볼프강 아마데우스 모차르트의 레퀴엠에서 영감을 얻어 창작된 한국 록 최고의 대곡 중 하나다.

2집에서, 그리고 부활의 가장 유명한 연주곡. 6분 33초의 러닝타임을 가지고있는 잔잔하면서도 울림있는 기타 연주곡이다. 거장 음악가 엔니오 모리코네가 작곡했던 원스 어폰 어 타임 인 더 웨스트 OST를 김태원이 자신의 스타일로 커버한 곡으로써 김태원의 젊은 시절 뛰어난 기타 실력이 기록되어있다.

■ About The Album(Remember)

The second album also has huge popularity and sales. The revival's first and second albums alone sold more than 35,400,000 copies in the somewhat experimental genre of rock at the time, with total album sales reaching more than 1 million each until they were sold single in early 1990. In the drama "Lakrakrak," the second album was expressed as a major commercial failure because there was also a dramatic composition of the drama, and Kim Tae-won was actually mistaken for the second album's failure. In fact, Kim Tae-won was arrested for drug cases before he took any special activities, so he could not expect any performance profits, and Kim Tae-won himself, who was imprisoned, did not receive sales results, and at that time, he thought he had failed even after he was released. However, it is certain that it has been a big hit in terms of sales. Park Wan-kyu, a fan of resurrection even before his debut as a singer, recently left the following words on the African TV broadcast "Allight Show Jungle Broadcast" hosted by Shim Sang-wook of MuseEros.

Tae-won expresses that this album didn't work out, but it's not true. I was a middle school student at the time, and everyone in my class didn't have this album. What does this mean? In other words, the second album has been sold a lot.’

Unlike the first album, which is filled with relatively standard hard rock-style songs, it is a progressive album with a lot of experimental attempts. Like the first album "Heeya," it includes "Sad Deer," immortal "Recollections," 11-minute song "In Heaven," and "Jills" arranged by Kim Tae-won. Thanks to Kim Tae-won's unique Cheolgeumseong (the sound of iron) having fun in the first album, the second album seems to have gone a little overboard. Some commented that 'he rolled something strict on a jade tray'. In fact, the most broken part of this album was a sound song that had to be inserted into all albums at the time. At that time, the means of playback was the LP version, so it was impossible to take it out in the middle, which was a huge obstacle to listening to the album.

However, the revival, which had been doing well for a long time, is disbanded in vain as Kim Tae-won goes to prison for taking drugs and Lee Seung-chul leaves the team. However, in this part, Kim Tae-won and Lee Seung-chul are divided, and Kim Tae-won claims that Lee Seung-chul has left and disbanded, while Lee Seung-chul agreed to disband the revival and decided not to form a band under the name of resurrection. Baek Kang-ki, the manager at the time, later posted on his blog, "We no longer use the band name Resurrection, and Kim Tae-won agreed to work as 'Game' and Lee Seung-chul as a solo."

By the way, Baek Kang-ki, who was the manager of the resurrection, told various stories and stories about the history of the resurrection in his autobiography <I am the manager> published in 2016, but he does not directly mention Lee Seung-chul's real name but marks him as L. Perhaps Baek Gang-ki is treating Lee Seung-chul as a dark past.

In 2003, it was re-released as an LP miniature by YBM Seoul Records (now Roen).

In August 2007, the Kyunghyang Shinmun surveyed 52 pop music experts and selected it as the "Top 100 Best Korean Pop Music" and ranked 52nd with the comment that it was a self-conscious masterpiece of a rock band.

In August 2018, it was ranked 78th with a review that it was a deep music that shone with planning power in the "(third) 100 best albums of Korean pop music" set by music critics and released through Melon.
