Group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) practiced meaningful good deeds to mark the 9th anniversary of their debut.
According to Pledis Entertainment on the 28th, Seventeen donated a 'global educational environment creation donation' to the UNESCO Korean Committee on the 26th, the anniversary of its debut.
The donation will be used to hold the "UNESCO Future of Education International Forum" to discuss the spread and future education of the education campaign #GoingTogether conducted by SEVENTEEN and the UNESCO Korean Committee.
Seventeen said through its agency, "It's rewarding and grateful to be able to participate in such a meaningful thing on our debut anniversary, which is our birthday."
Seventeen, which debuted in 2015, has continued to donate in various forms. In particular, on May 26, the anniversary of its debut, it practiced sharing and spread good influence to the underprivileged, children affected by abuse, and children and adolescents from vulnerable groups.
In addition, since August 2022, they have been promoting the Going Together campaign with the Korean Commission of UNESCO to inform the world of the importance of education. As part of this, meaningful harvests were achieved, such as rebuilding education in Malawi, Africa, and establishing two learning centers in East Timor.
Furthermore, Seventeen was the first K-pop artist to be assigned a special session exclusively at the 13th "UNESCO Youth Forum" held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France in November last year, demonstrating its influence as a global speaker representing the younger generation.
