AKMU tops the charts in a day with "Hero"

Mixed group AKMU (Lee Chan-hyuk, Soohyun Lee) proved its music power by settling at the top of major music charts in Korea with its new song "Hero."

According to YG Entertainment, AKMU's third mini-album title song "Hero," which was released at 6 p.m. on the 3rd, ranked No. 1 on Naver Vibe. It was also ranked at the top of major music charts such as Melon, Bugs, Genie, and Flo.

"Hero" is gaining popularity from music fans with its new AKMU's "Love Song." While the members' simple and cozy vocals on the acoustic sound penetrated the ears, the repeated lyrics as if shouting magic spells in the chorus section gave listeners a deep addictive feeling.

The music video for "Hero" is full of fairytale-like imaginations. The story of going on a journey to save "Hero," the direction of changing from winter to spring after searching for love, and the sensual visual beauty of moving beyond animation attracted attention.

Songs from the new album, such as "Long D", "Peace of Cake" and "Frustrated", are also evenly loved. While the friendly love story using everyday materials draws sympathy, the original language in it adds to the fun of listening.
