1.나는나

The heyday was the first album with mega hits. The second, third and fourth albums were also well received, but they were not as popular as the first album, and anyway, they became popular as national hits, which are rare for a rock band. And it wasn't even a typical style of rock ballad. Since it was the heyday of first-generation idols in the late 1990s, the debut songs "16/20" and "I Am Me" were nominated for the top spot on the terrestrial music broadcasting music charts several times. Since then, it has continued to contribute to the boom of modern rock featuring female vocals, such as rock groups The The, Pippi Band, Jaurim, Cherry Filter, and Roller Coaster.
Under the influence of alternative rock and cranberry, many modern rock bands featuring female vocals such as Juju Club (Ju Joo-in), Jaurim (Kim Yoon-ah), Cherry Filter (Cho Yoo-jin), and Roller Coaster (Cho Won-sun) were active in the domestic rock market. In addition to modern rock bands featuring female vocals, bands with distinct personalities by genre were also pouring out, and it was a time of renaissance for Korean bands, where bands with some commercial success were created.
Juju Club showed unique music that was classified as modern rock, but differentiated from ordinary modern rock bands. Featuring a distinctive catchy pop melody and meaningless aftertaste (iair, slopzur, lanisanisapa, shocking shocking, swarm, etc.), they combined colorful vocals with strong bass, close to synth, and jazz-style chord progressions to create their own unique musical world. Since each album selected a theme genre and presented an album that fits the genre, it showed various performances that were not focused on one genre, with the first album being alternative rock, the second album being hardcore, the third album being Scar, the fourth album being hybridized with hip-hop, and the fifth album being R&B. The guitar tone, which penetrates the album and does not have a unique mid-to-low tone, remains intact. If the arrangement sounds empty, that's why. Later, Ju Ju-in's solo album also shows the same color of music as the two brothers participate in producing.
As a band, he seems to have outstanding live skills, but in fact, he has not performed live on music programs for adults, such as Lee So-ra's proposal. In addition to broadcasting, it was written that there were no concerts or performances that ordinary rock bands could do, but it was clearly wrong to say that they held their first concert at Hoam Art Hall in November after the release of their second album and have been on a steady live tour ever since. Of course, it is a bit disappointing that there was no performance in the first album, which was a sensation. In the first place, it is a three-person composition, so you need to hire a guest to perform live properly. At first glance, the official positions of the two male members, who seemed to be incredible session men, were drums and bass, but in reality (although plagiarized), they focused on composing, arranging, and producing, which was close to a studio band. Their music is obviously rock with guitar, drums and bass, but I don't feel particularly obsessed with rock music. No one treats the shareholder club as a rock band, as it was in the band scene at the time and even now. Rather, they were able to expand the horizon of rock and succeed in popularizing it by combining various genres, away from typical rock bands.
Since Ju Da-in's vocals have a refreshing high note and a unique tone that goes well with rock music, it can be said that it is the identity of the Juju Club itself that everyone remembers. However, there is no pop comfort, and above all, there are many questions about the vocal competency itself. At that time, if the main issue was that most bands held unconnected guitars and finger-synched them on the broadcast, shareholders' clubs often brought AR for lip-syncing, not accompaniment issues. Ju Da-in later appeared on various music programs while working as a solo album, but she failed to sing her old songs completely and showed her singing of her new song with great anxiety. The singing style itself and instant high notes were good, but the stamina and stability are poor. First of all, Joo Da-in's basic health care and throat care were not properly managed, and his vocal skills were significantly reduced due to a massive traffic accident during the fourth album and blood cancer. In the first solo album in 2003, it was enough to tap the high notes once or twice, but in the second solo album in 2007, even though it is a studio recording, the stability of the vocals is low. The fact that the decline, which has been on the decline once, has not recovered until the 2020s, saddens fans who remember the past.
