□ About Park Jung Woon

On December 25, 1965, he was born to his father, Park Seon-gil, and his mother, Park Il-yang, as the only son of a single son. He immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of nine, formed a group when he was a middle and high school student, and returned home alone in 1989 and began full-fledged music activities. He graduated from Washington University with a degree in commercial art in the United States and from Yonsei University with a degree in journalism and broadcasting in Korea.

After making its name known with the song "When Tomorrow Comes," a joint album made with Oh Seok-joon and Jang Pil-soon in 1989, its second album "If It's a Night Like Today" released in 1991 became an unprecedented hit in 1992.

However, it was the time when the top stars of the time were very active, so it ranked second for 10 consecutive weeks, behind Shin Seung-hoon's "By Chance" and Seo Tae-ji and children's "I Know," which is called the No. 1 maker at the time, and other broadcasters ranked second more than 30 times. That's why I won an award at the year-end K-pop Top 10. Even after coming down from the No. 1 candidate, he was in the top 30 for a year on the chart. Nevertheless, it is a strange irony that the song that has been steadily loved to this day is not "accidentally" but "on a night like tonight."

Still, the third album "In the Far Future" broke away from the conclusion by topping MBC's "Inkigayo" and topped the K-pop Top 10. Since then, the song is included in the existing second album of the fourth album "Love for You" in 1994 and the best album "Albatross" in 1995, but the newly arranged "What's memorable is your wet eyes" has become a hit. In 1996, he gained popularity with his sixth album "In My Arms," composed by Yoon Jong-shin, and later released a live album, he was active until the mid-2000s and stopped singing for health reasons.

Once operated an LP cafe in Songpa-gu, but now it is closed.

While singing the legend of an immortal masterpiece that aired on February 18, 2017, it came out on the air for the first time in a long time with "Nostalgic Voice, Returned Emotional Ballad Park Jung-woon & Kim Min-woo."

He died at Asan Medical Center in Seoul at around 8 p.m. on September 17, 2022 at the age of 56. The cause of death was cirrhosis, and Park Joon-ha, one of his usual close singers, reported his obituary, which Park Jung-woon said usually did not drink at all and stress seemed to have led to cirrhosis.
