■ About Cho PD

In 1999, when the rookie of PC Communication Naunuri uploaded his own songs such as <Jo PD Rules>, Cho PD's songs seemed to conquer virtually all PC communication. It debuted with its first album in Stardom, which combines songs released by the news agency, and sold 500,000 copies for the first time in K-pop history, even though it was designated as a harmful medium for youth. At this time, he was the most likely singer to be a post Seo Tai-ji, tied with the information trend. On May 16 of the same year, on MBC's <Section TV Entertainment News>, the production team used to visit the United States and interview Cho PD, who was studying abroad.

At first, he came out as a faceless singer, but at the end of that year, he released his second album "in Stardom - 2.0" and revealed his face in earnest. The title song Fever became popular, and Lee Jung-hyun, who was an actor as a vocalist, was also featured in the music video, which led to Lee Jung-hyun's popularity as a singer, and Psy, who featured in it, also went to Fan Entertainment in 2000 and became a solo singer. In 2000, he started broadcasting with his third album, and his title song "My Style" became popular in his fourth album and received good reviews in terms of completeness.

In June 2001, he founded the agency FutureFlow based on the small label Stardom, but in 2003, he resigned as CEO and devoted himself to working on his fifth album. In 2004, a friend who featured Insooni as a presentation of the work became very popular. The fifth album was released as a double album, which was unusually released as a separate album rather than a two-CD album. pt.1 is an existing joe pd style album and pt.2 is a more popular album, and it established itself as the best hit song of 2004, with friend girl on pt.2 topping various ranking programs.

In 2009, he established Brandnew Stardom with Rhymer and launched boy band Block B, which changed its name to stardom after Rhymer established Brandnew Music and became independent and sold it in 2015. In 2019, "Choco Entertainment" was established with the aim of striving to produce cultural contents beyond fostering musicians, and in 2022, it is taking on Space Elvis, a visual special effects (VFX) company.

As he studied at the American College of Music, he gave a sound that was not heard in Korean hip-hop at the time. In addition, the lyrics shown in the first and second albums shocked many people by peaking in terms of social criticism rap and concious hip-hop, which were popular in the Korean pop industry in the 1990s under the name of gangster rap. In 2010, he pre-released his new song <Buligang Byeongha 2> on his Twitter account, leaving a hot topic.

Nevertheless, the fact that he was dissed like that, on the contrary, not only had a strong influence on Korean hip-hop in the early days, but also had a strong public awareness. It is hard to deny that he is a rapper who peaked in the perfection and concious rap shown in the first and second albums. It is still hard to find a Korean rapper who had more influence than Cho PD in the domestic Consumer Lab in 1999, as he conquered PC communication full of people who did not know or were not interested in hip-hop. Insane Dizzy, who dissed PD Cho, also released some similar songs at the time, but the completeness of the lyrics was significantly lower than that of PD Cho, except for swearing.
