Group New Jeans expressed its official position in a plea to the conflict between HYBE and CEO Min Hee-jin.

According to the music industry on the 19th, the parents of New Jean's members appointed Kang Jin-seok, an entertainment lawyer, and filed a petition with the court on the 14th, ahead of the interrogation date for the provisional injunction against the exercise of voting rights filed by CEO Min.

This is for the interrogation date of the application for a provisional injunction against the exercise of voting rights held at the Seoul Central District Court on the 17th, and the petition reportedly contains the intention to take future steps with Representative Min.

This is the first time that New Jeans has taken official action in the conflict between HYBE and Min of its affiliated label, Adore. Since the conflict between the two sides erupted on the 22nd of last month, HYBE and Adore have been engaged in a fierce public opinion battle. Recently, a YouTube channel revealed that the parents of New Jeans members borrowed the name of Adore and sent complaints to HYBE, but New Jeans, the core of the conflict, has never come forward in person.

Therefore, public opinion was divided into support and concern at the news of New Jeans' submission of the petition. Some say that it is natural for Neujins to support Min, referring to Min's hard work and relationship with them.

On the other hand, however, some say it is dangerous for members to step up and show one-sidedness at a time when they do not yet know how the fight between the two sides will unfold.

This is because an extraordinary shareholders' meeting will be held on the 31st to discuss the "Dismissal and New Appointment of Board of Directors" led by CEO Min, and there are speculations that Newzins' actions may show the possibility of arguing for an exclusive contract with Hive. The legal representative who wrote the petition denied this possibility altogether, but critics point out that if Min and Adore leave Hive due to unfavorable circumstances, New Jeans' subsequent activities could also be dangerous.

As a result, whether the ban on the exercise of voting rights at the extraordinary shareholders' meeting will be allowed will be the key. In the previous interrogation, a legal representative for Adore claimed, "In the inter-shareholder contract, HYBE clearly stipulates that CEO Min must exercise his voting rights at the Adore shareholders' meeting so that he can maintain his position as CEO and in-house director of Adore for five years."

In response, HYBE's legal representative refuted, saying, "The inter-shareholder contract states that CEO Min can demand his resignation if he damages Adore more than 1 billion won or commits illegal acts such as breach of trust or embezzlement."

The court said it would collect data from both sides and make a decision until an extraordinary meeting is held.
