■About ITZY

The team name "ITZY" is "You have everything you want, right?" It means 'ITZY!' and the official Korean notation is ITZY. There are quite a few cases where people who have only heard the English name "ITZY" call it "IT-ZY" because they don't know how to write it in Korean, but it has become a daily routine for fandom MIDZY to correct it, saying it should be called "ITZY."

The point is to say "All in Us!" and make both hands V-shape and cross each other so that the alphabet Z-shape comes out. Originally, there were several candidates for the hand greeting, but Ryu Hyun-jin's idea, inspired by the finger dance of singing a foreign children's song, Itsy Bitty Spider, was adopted, and the current official hand greeting was born.
