■ About The Album of Brown Eyes

It is truly one of the best Korean albums and one of the best R&B albums of the 2000s, and it is a game-changing album in the K-pop scene that has been plastered with medium tempo R&B ballads influenced by Brown Eyes for some time since its release.

Led by director Cha Eun-taek, he presented a drama-type music video that was popular at the time. Despite his activities without appearing on music shows, he showed a terrifying appearance of occupying various music charts. It was so popular that not only the title song and the follow-up song, but also other songs including "She Sees Me" were hit.

Yoon Gun appeared on "Baek Ji-yeon's People Inside" in 2011 and said, "We sell 30,000 copies a day, but let's leave it alone without appearing on the show," so he eventually stopped appearing.

Eventually, it sold 630,000 copies that year, ranking fifth in sales in 2001. The total sales volume was about 750,000 copies. One may wonder why the ranking is so low, and Yoo Seung-joon's annual song, god and Kim Gun-mo, who sold more than 1.6 million copies in 2001, ranked second and third with more than 1 million copies sold, and Cho Sung-mo also ranked fourth.

It was ranked No. 1 in my 20s' best album, No. 98 in the second selection of the top 100 Korean pop music albums (2007), No. 67 in the third selection (2018), and No. 40 in the top 100 albums of the 2000s by the music webzine 100BEAT in 2010.
