□ About Cho Yong Pil

He was born in Songsan-myeon, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do on March 21, 1950. He graduated from Kyungdong High School 25th time in 1969. He began his career as a high school student in 1968 and made his debut as "Woman Outside the Window" in 1979.

It holds a milestone of selling out seven times at the Jamsil Main Stadium concert, which only top-class singers in Korea can challenge. Of course, Cho Yong-pil also has the title of mobilizing the largest number of audiences at domestic concerts. To describe his career in one sentence, he held the top songs on the charts throughout the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s. He is a singer with numerous hit songs, including the era of LP, tape, CD, and sound sources, the record of mobilizing the largest concert personnel in Korea, and the record of performing at the Seoul Arts Center for the seventh consecutive year. It is a living legend of Korean pop music that needs no words. It has a record of winning a total of 11 terrestrial year-end music awards, including four gold medals and two consecutive wins. This is also the result of the 1987 declaration of refusal to win the TV program award to make better music.

He is one of the most influential figures in the Korean music industry, and at the same time, he is the king of the percussion music industry, which no one can surpass. Then, why do top singers praise Cho Yong-pil as so-called "out of the discussion"? Just because you're a senior? There must be more than one or two senior singers. According to an interview in April 2011, nicknames such as "King of Singer" and "National Singer" are embarrassing to him and do not take much into his mind. He just wants the name "Cho Yong-pil" to be called literally. He is also a singer who popularized the term "brother unit." At that time, the 9 o'clock news broadcasted an unusual report about a big fan of his brother's unit following Cho Yong-pil. Perhaps the ripple effect of this word was enormous, but "oppa unit" is listed as a heading in the Standard Korean Dictionary.
