The title track is "Candle" where you can hear dreamy psychedelic sounds. The song was written as the theme song for the TBC drama "Blessed". Of course, this song was also very popular. It's an album that Cho Yong-pil tried quite a few things, and he tried a fusion of nursery rhymes and adult songs, a fusion of disco and trot in "Unexpected Farewell," and a fusion of Post-disco and trot in "Let Me Meet You." The melody is trot, but the arrangement is dance music.
"Person Contemporary" creates an anomalous rhythm with Clintone's electric guitar backing and then builds a unique scale to create a mysterious atmosphere. Cho Yong-pil, who has been studying folk songs, has a creative narrative called "Kanyangrok." It refers to "Ganyangrok," a book written by Kang Hang, a Joseon Confucian scholar who was taken to Japan during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, missing his homeland, and is a song that shows the sorrow and desperation for Kang Hang's homeland.
Although it was released as a regular production, it was produced rapidly due to pressure from the agency to release one album a year, and it can be said that it is actually a resting album for Cho Yong-pil. Not long after the first album was released, as I was preparing for the new album, the songs from the previous album were newly arranged and rewritten. Cho Yong-pil himself recalled the time, saying, "I can't remember what he recorded," but it means that there were fewer creations led by Cho Yong-pil, not that the completeness of the tracks is not low. However, these days, it may have been released in the form of a repackage rather than a regular album.
The background of the album cover is Carnegie Hall. Before the release of his second album, he performed for the first time as a Korean singer at Carnegie Hall. At that time, while playing golf in the U.S., he was bruised by a golf ball in his eye and performed wearing sunglasses. (...) When the CD was released, the performance of the first album, "Short Hair," which was included at the end of page A based on LP, was omitted. A synthesizer arrangement was added to the original, so I could feel the freshness. It is a great pity that no official digital sound source has been provided so far.
