□ About Lee Ki-chan

In 1996, when he was in his second year of high school, he won the grand prize at the Family Village Showoff Contest hosted by MBC Standard FM's Starry Night, and immediately debuted as an official singer in November of that year and received a good response with his debut song "Please." "Please" was popular as an audition song at the time, and it is said that Kim Tae-woo and Yoon Min-soo also became singers.

At the time of his debut, there was another male singer, Lee Ji-hoon, a high school student of the same age, born in 1979, but his popularity fell somewhat. However, compared to Lee Ji-hoon, who only played vocals, there was an advantage in that he had the ability to compose songs, and his career changed significantly as Lee Ki-chan studied music in college and walked the path of a full-time musician.

He is a singer who has alternated several slumps and re-leaps, and has a side that pops once when he feels calm. After gaining considerable popularity with his first album, he established himself as a male ballad singer by leaving several hit songs such as "Love Is Gone Again," "Cold" and "Beauty."

Since his successful debut with his first album, his second album title song "Yuri," released in 1997, has also been in the top 10, but since then, the box office has gradually lagged behind his first album. He gave up his popularity to some extent and tried to become a solo musician. In particular, the fourth album, named "One Man Show," was in charge of writing, composing, and producing all the songs alone, but the commercial performance was not good, with only about 20,000 albums sold.

Something plain but sad, reminiscent of past hit songs, became popular and appeared to the public for the first time in five years, winning first place on the "Inkigayo" for the first time in a long time, and that year, it topped the Melon Chart. However, because it lacked buzz, it only became a forgotten hit song and tended to be undervalued.
