국내 최초의 10대 저연령(중학생) 아이돌로 DSP미디어(당시는 대성기획)가 소속이었던 댄스 아이돌 그룹. 그룹 이름이 그대로 '아이돌'이다. 1981년생 재미교포 출신으로 보컬을 담당하는 최혁준과 1982년생 브라질 교포 출신으로 랩을 담당하는 이세성 2인조로 구성

■ About IDOL

It was a group that came out before DSP Media followed SM, and with the success of Seo Tae-ji, children, and deuce, the dance group was a common two-member dance group in the early to mid-1990s. Half a year later, however, he lost to H.O.T. of SM Entertainment, a first-generation idol, and disappeared into history in February 1997.

Since then, DSP Media has established a line (?) as an SM follower agency and debuted SECHSKIES, which mimics H.O.T. According to Eun Ji-won's testimony, Sechs Kies was actually scheduled to debut as a duo, but President Lee Ho-yeon, motivated by H.O.T.'s success, hurriedly recruited four more members to form a six-member group. It's similar to Hamo Hamo, the predecessor of NRG

Choi Hyuk-joon, a member of the group, seems to have made his own efforts by writing lyrics and composing songs and making album jackets, but considering that he was young in terms of dance, rap and singing are embarrassing to the general public. I couldn't expect a live performance, and I couldn't even listen to the lip sync performance... At this time, there were more singers who lip-synced than live performances. Still, Bauwau was popular, winning first place on SBS TV Song 20 and top 10 on other broadcasters, and also appearing in commercials for Crown Sando. Since then, he has won the Rookie of the Year award at the Korea Video Recording Awards (currently the Golden Disc Awards) in 1996.

After that, she briefly performed a follow-up song with "She in the Dream," became popular with the title song "Fantasy Experience" in the second album, and suddenly disbanded after a farewell concert in February 1997, and the members seemed to have wandered a lot due to the confusion that suffered both great popularity and failure at a young age. In 1999, a case in which Choi Hyuk-joon was booked for an attempted murder appeared on the news, regretting fans in memories who once liked IDOL.
