오늘 아침 연예 뉴스에 이광조님의 45주년 기사가 여러개 떳다. 나는 잘 모르기도하고 옛날 어르신인거같아 무심히 넘기려 했으나 유튭에서 그가 노래를 부르는 것을 보고 포스팅 하기로 마음 먹었다.
70세 언저리인 그의 나이에도 불구하고 엄청난 열정으로 노래하는 모습이 너무나도 아름답고 멋있었다. BTS가 나이먹고도 이렇게 노래할 수 있을까? 라고 스스로에게 물으며 이광조님에게 박수를 치며 하루를 시작할 수 있게되어 기뻤다.

■인터뷰 INTERVIEW

"The music was so hard that I wasn't going to do it. I thought a lot that my music doesn't fit my country."

For the old singer, who has been in front of the microphone for more than 40 years, music was hot to grab and a numb heart to let go.

Singer Lee Kwang-jo (71), who enjoyed the 1980s with his deep ballad songs in the folk and trot-oriented music industry, will hold a 45th-anniversary concert "Outings," which condensed his singing life in March this year.

Lee Kwang-jo met a Yonhap News reporter at a cafe in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 19th and told him how he felt about his outing with the audience after a long time.

Except for small theater performances in the form of charity events, it is the first time in about eight years that Lee Kwang-jo will hold a solo concert since 2015. The music was overwhelming, and I was afraid that the fans would be disappointed.

Lee Kwang-jo said he waited for a good stage to come, considering the passage of time, instead of feeling anxious during the break.

Summarizing the period as a "continuation of waiting," he decided to go on stage in partnership with guitarist Ham Chun-ho, who has been a 40-year-old friend and also released an acoustic album "Old & New" together last year.

"If I was going to perform, I could do it in a small place. Still, I couldn't perform randomly, so I postponed it, but this time I got a good opportunity."

Lee Kwang-jo is preparing a wide set list, ranging from "You Too Far To Get Close" and "The Mask of Time" to American pop star Gloria Gainer's 1978 hit song "I Will Survive," as if to resolve the regret of not performing.

"I Will Survive" became a hot topic after girl group Ive sampled it on "After Like."

Lee Kwang-jo said, "I plan to sing New York's swing jazz style songs and new songs that I recorded this time. "I hope there will be more than 10 encores," he said with a smile.

The pressure is as great as the excitement. He said he had a nightmare when he was on a stage full of audiences and didn't sing.

"I'm extremely nervous. I don't think I'm a veteran or anything before the concert. You have to do it because it's what you have to do."

Earlier, Lee Kwang-jo announced the news of the concert and introduced it as "maybe the last concert."
