■ About Chu Ga-yeol

He started as an acoustic folk song singer at the Underground Live Club in 1986 and released two albums under his real name Chu Eun-yeol in 1995 and 1996, but it did not resonate much.

In 2001, Lee Soo-man proposed an acoustic guitar omnibus album, and when he joined SM Entertainment, he became SM's first acoustic guitar folk singer, and with Lee Soo-man's idea, he worked under the stage name of additional heat.

In 2002, he released his first full-length album with a trot-style folk song, "Is There No One Like Me." At that time, the music market was in a slump and the huge event of the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup disappeared, and the soft and lyrical tone of the acoustic guitar was very popular among middle-aged people who were exhausted by the flood of idol singers.

For your information, H.O.T., the most popular singer of the same agency at that time, was considered a mega hit, so 150,000 albums were the same as the 1 million albums of the booming album market, and even SM's idols could be considered as unofficial figures that were almost regular on Gilboard tapes.

In addition to being a singer, he is also working as a lyricist/composer, especially trot singer Geum Jandi's signature song "Ora Bunny" and debut song "Dansim" which are famous for being the queen of the highway queen.

After leaving SM, he is currently a member of an entertainment company called HK Entertainment and served as a director of the Korean Music Copyright Association, and was elected the 24th president of the association from December 2021.

At first, he worked as a folk song using a trot melody, but in 2014, he turned completely into a trot singer through his sixth album, "Life Like a Picnic."
