■ About Cho Jang-Hyuk
He debuted in 1996 with his first album, "Even If You Leave". There is a behind-the-scenes story here. Originally, Cho Jang-hyuk only made the theme song of the movie Change, and there was a separate singer to sing the song. However, Cho Jang-hyuk himself had to sing it himself because the singer he was supposed to sing gave up due to adult circumstances, and he made his official debut as a singer with a hit that made it to the top 10 on the K-pop chart.
This is the story of when he made his third album, "Addicted Love," his best hit song. Having lived alone at home since the age of 25, he wrote only the first melody of "Can I See You Again" and then put it in a drawer for a year because the next melody was not made. This is because you should not proceed with the code as if you were forced to put a puzzle. Then one day, I tasted it, drank a glass of soju, and within an hour, I finished the melody by connecting it to "I came to your house like this." As soon as the song was released, "Addicted Love" became a top five hit, and the follow-up song "LOVE" was also well received. However, the music life of the 4th and 5th albums after that was an abyss.
Until the fifth album, he composed all the songs in the album himself, and sometimes both wrote and composed them himself. However, most of the 6th album was remade of the existing songs, and most of the songs in the album were filled with songs composed by Joo Young-hoon.
He was considered one of the few singers who could sing ballads properly with his attractive husky voice and excellent singing skills, and was praised for impressing listeners of his songs, but Cho Jang-hyuk himself did not gain much popularity at the time of his activities.
Since the 2000s, he has performed a remake of the Japanese singer CHAGE and ASKA's "LOVE SONG" in the SBS drama "The Successful Story of a Bright Girl" in 2002, and the SBS drama "Shooting the Stars" has performed "In My Dream", a remake of CHAGE and ASKA's song "On Your Mark". However, since then, he has been forgotten by the public due to his lack of activity, and he released his fifth album in 2004 and quit his singing career due to a wrong contract with his manager. Still, this is a successful ballad singer career. Cho Jang-hyuk, who had been in the Gulbi business for seven years, appeared in a duet mission with the legend of Immortal Song 2, and reappeared in public singing "Addicted Love" with Forman's Shin Yong-jae. Since his appearance as an immortal masterpiece, he has become a professor of K-POP department with Hong Kyung-min and is said to be giving lectures.
