■ About Emerald Castle
A South Korean rock band that debuted in 1997.
It was discovered and produced by Next's vocalist Shin Hae-chul and bassist Kim Young-seok, and it is a planned team, not a self-sustaining band.
At that time, Shin Hae-chul and Kim Young-seok tried to create a two-member team filled with vocals and guitar and the rest with midi sound, as they agreed to make a more popular album with light materials and melodies, unlike Next.
Shin Hae-chul, who was already well-known, was in charge of the production company, promotion, and overall concept, while Kim Young-seok, who dreamed of becoming a record producer at the time, was in charge of composing, arranging, and training the members.
However, the more they worked, the more they differed, and eventually the lineup was completed by Shin Hae-chul giving up the first two-man system, recruiting Jiwoo, then a rookie singer, and Kim Sang-hwan (guitar) and Kang Sang-ho (drum) of the band BEAT before Next.
As you can see from the table in the member items below, there have been many changes in the members, and the original members are two. Currently, they are reunited and are working as a five-member group.
