□ About Kim Chang Wan

He was the eldest brother of Sanwoolim, a legendary family band composed of brothers (older brother Kim Chang-hoon, younger brother Kim Chang-ik), and was in charge of guitar, vocals, and composition. Its unique experimental lyrics, sound, and unique vocalization are unique in the world, showing a different level from other bands of the time, which focused on cover songs. He is well-known as a genius artist who has made a mark in the Korean pop music industry with outstanding musical achievements.

Among domestic punk rockers, there are frequent claims that the origin of PUNK in Korea is Sanwoolim. It is no exaggeration to say that it is "punkier" than the current punk rock, such as simple code, experimental sound, and strange yet blade-like lyrics.

There are many theories about Kim Chang-wan's music world, such as being influenced by songs from the 8th U.S. Army, and being influenced by folk musicians at the time, but he made a truly unconventional debut that is hard to accept as an established theory. It is said that he had already composed three-digit songs in the corner of the house before his debut in his first album. His style influenced many junior musicians, including Jang Ki-ha, and became an important foundation for the barren Korean rock music. Yohei Hasegawa, who was listening to this and that music at the time, was also one of the musicians who came to Korea with a big shock, saying, "It's music that can't find its roots." He is one of the best figures in Korean pop music history. For more information, see the topic Sanwoolim.

Apart from working as a mountain woolim, he often released solo albums under his name, and unlike the mountain woolim style, he sang quiet and calm ballads or folk songs. He was also interested in children's songs and children's songs, so he released a children's song album. Kim Chang-wan's songs are "Foolie" and "Hello, My Sweet Friend," which are well-known today. The live performances of Kim Chang-wan's band "Gaegoyae" ("Let's play together, let's run and kick the ball") and "San Grandpa" at the concert hall are really excellent. adults jumping to children's songs I even play a slam. In addition, the animation Eek, which aired on MBC, was in charge of writing, composing, and singing the theme song of the cool guy, as well as the song of the green frog in the third class of the fifth grade of the children's drama. The theme song of the drama was also sung by Kim Chang-wan, the opening of the mini-series "One Roof" and the main songs of Sunpung Obstetrics and Gynecology. In other words, those who spent their childhood in the 8th and 90s spent their childhood with Kim Chang-wan without realizing it. In addition, among the children's songs he composed, "Pretty Mom, Pretty Dream," which became very popular with children as it came out in the second stage of "Singing with Pororo."

Kim Chang-wan's composition and vocals went through the process of transforming from psychedelic rock (from 1st to 3rd album of Sanwoolim) to authentic rock (after 4th album of Sanwoolim) and folk and ballad (from 12th album of Sanwoolim) to psychedelic rock (from 13th album of Sanwoolim). Now that Kim Chang-wan is working as a band, he is setting a line with folk rock, participating in folk festivals and rock festivals at the same time, and has undergone changes in many ways, and you can see that all activities have been successful.

Although there was a long hiatus between the album and the album, Kim Chang-ik, a younger brother and the youngest in charge of drums at Sanwoolim, was killed in an accident. The fifth track from the band's "The Happiest" album, "Forklift," is Kim's memorial song. With Kim Chang-ik's death, Sanwoolim was eventually disbanded, and now he is leading the Kim Chang-wan band named after him.
