■ About Kim Shin-woo

In 1987, he made his debut as a singer at a live club under the real name 'Jungwoo Kim'. Doremi Records released the album "In the Evening / Who Could It Be/ With a Song-like Heart" in February 1991 and "My Breakup / You, Now / Only You" in January 1993. However, it is difficult to find the data directly mentioned by Kim Shin-woo about the activities at this time.

In 1993, he participated in the project group Marronier's third full-length album "Marronier 3 - Cocktail Love" as a guest vocalist and sang "Cocktail Love" with Shin Yoon-mi and Choi Sun-won. However, the record label did not display the singer's name on its third Marronier album released in March 1994, and most did not know that Kim Shin-woo participated in the album as a guest vocalist due to the Marronier lip-syncing scam. Although Jungwoo Kim participated in recording the album in the cocktail love case, it was only widely known after Shin Yoon-mi, the original singer of "Cocktail Love," appeared on JTBC's "To You Project - Sugar Man 3" on February 14, 2020.

In September 1994, Kim Shin-woo released his first full-length album "Kim Shin Woo 1994", which he produced, and drew attention with the title track "Remember Me". "Remember Me" is still a song that is consistently loved enough to be often included in ballad masterpiece editing albums.

Since his debut, Kim has filled the album with his own songs. "You have to sing your own song to express the feeling of the song properly," he said, adding that it is difficult to revive the feeling of the original song if you receive a song written by another person.

However, due to problems other than music, such as conflicts with the agency and manager, the second album "Kim Shinwoo 2" in 1995, the third album "Kim Shin Woo" in the following year, and the fourth album "Gwi Trading Company" in 1999 all suffered from being buried without getting a chance to inform fans.

Even in this situation, the OST "Marie" of the animated film "Amageddon," written, composed, and sung by Kim Shin-woo in 1996, became popular, and although the movie failed to be successful, OST albums sold more than 200,000 copies. Kim Shin-woo's third album, which was released in the same year, has the same melody as "Marie" and the song "The Sun," which changed the lyrics.

In addition, the fourth album's track "Gwi Sangsa" is a folk rock that contains the emptiness of life, and was once again loved as the OST for the MBC drama "I love you to death" in 2003. In the first week of February 2006, it was ranked 34th on the online music chart.

Kim Shin-woo also participated in the albums of fellow singers as a lyricist, composer and producer. In particular, he wrote and composed hit songs such as Ahn Sang-soo's "To Me Forever" (1995) and Lee Seung-hoon's "Rainy Street" (1997). Kim Shin-woo was the successor of Lee Seung-hoon's Navy PR team, and "Rainy Street" was the song he wrote to suit Lee Seung-hoon's style while living together for more than a year in the military. After being discharged from the military, Kim Shin-woo reportedly offered Lee Seung-hoon a recording when the two performed at a place called Young Star in 1995.

He released his fifth full-length album "The Man" in 2001. In this album, he wrote, composed, and produced all the songs himself, and it is a lyrical album consisting of Korean melody-oriented rock ballad songs, and Southern Rock-colored songs that combine country music and rock. During the recording process, Kim Shin-woo excluded musical skills using a computer system and recorded simultaneously with the session to create a natural sound as if listening to a live album. The title track included "Meet a Good Person", and remakes of his own songs, "The Return of the House" and "Rainy Street". He then re-released his fifth full-length repackage album on August 14, 2003.

In an interview with the JoongAng Ilbo in 2002, Kim Shin-woo once told a sad story related to "Your Business." "Kim Kwang-seok has been saying that since one day. "I trust you for the next album. Please give me a lot of good songs". Then he nodded and made a song, and a month or two later, he passed away on his own. without leaving a word I felt empty."

Kim Shin-woo, who has communicated with fans through concerts but has not been active on TV [25], appeared on KBS 1TV's "Concert 7080" in 2012 and sang "The Man" enthusiastically.

In May 2015, Kim Shin-woo released his sixth full-length album "Slow & Analogue," which he wrote, composed, edited, produced, and performed. It was filled with 13 new songs, including the title track "Sometimes", "At sunset", "As It Is", and "Gift". Kim Shin-woo's 6th album music was used in the SBS Plus entertainment program Chef Jung Chang-wook's scene in which he was immersed in Italian nature, making headlines.
